Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Salary: $3,505 per month
Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,505 - $5,508 per month
This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year.
Eligible employees are also able to participate in the fee waiver education program.

Job Summary Under the direction of the Associate Registrar and Assistant Registrar of Graduation, the position involves a wide range of moderate to complex clerical and technical assignments.
This involves the coordination of the clerical and administrative operations of Undergraduate Degree Evaluations in support of the graduation cycles for all undergraduate students.
This position manages the front office, updates the office’s website, coordinates all events in the office, as well as training and delegating assignments to student assistants.
This position also serves as the liaison with the Michael Sutter Company regarding all inquiries for diploma orders and reissue of diploma requests.
Key Qualifications Knowledge of: Applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures related to Undergraduate Degree Evaluations.
Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Modern office computer and software systems, general office practices and procedures.
Basic mathematical principles and procedures to accurately track, count, record and balance monetary transactions.
Ability to: Communicate effectively, have good oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
Work independently, and as a team member, under the pressure of deadlines, handling multiple work unit priorities and projects.
Handle effectively a broader range of interpersonal contacts (i.
e.
Michael Sutter Company), including those at a higher level and sensitive in nature.
Work effectively with faculty, students, and staff from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.
Learn, interpret, and apply a variety of complex policies and procedures.
Understand and abide with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the confidentiality of records.
Use standard office software (Word, excel, email, internet usage, Powerpoint and Peoplesoft).
Provide assistance and support to office staff in planning and coordinating projects, activities and events.
Draft and compose various documents and correspondence.

Education and Experience High School Diploma, technical/vocational program, or equivalent, to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as described above.
Three years of progressively responsible clerical and administrative experience.
Thorough knowledge of current office methods, procedures and practices; ability to compose various correspondence using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Experience with customer service in a high pressure environment requiring diplomacy.
Preferred Skills: Experience in handling moderate to complex clerical and technical work assignments involving the use of independent judgment and discretion in support of an administrative office.
Familiarity with higher education policies and procedures, preferably CSU policies and procedures.
Experience with a student information management system, preferably PeopleSoft Student Administration system and OnBase.
