Intake Specialist

Intake Specialist POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating all incoming referrals from referral sources RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive and process intake data from the agency referral sources Work closely with billing and accounting personnel in verifying and establishing authorization for treatment Obtain patient demographics, physician name, diagnosis, etc.
, to ensure referral information is complete Establish and maintain positive working relationships with referral sources Interact directly with sales team regarding incoming referrals Advise the Executive Director on current events, concerns and operations Ensure compliance with all state, federal and agency referral/intake requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Typing ability of at least 45 wpm and word processing experience Minimum of one year of administrative experience in a professional office environment, preferred Knowledge of organization policies, procedures and systems Ability to plan, coordinate, direct and control the health services of the agency with an understanding of statistical recording and reporting Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type from draft copy, review and edit reports, and correspondence Demonstrate a strong public relation focus and customer first orientation Ability to deal tactfully with the public and demonstrate a team mentality BENEFITS (available to full-time employees): Health, dental, vision, 401k, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability Continuing education & tuition assistance Generous referral bonus program ABOUT US: Our unique focus is on patient-centered care and evidenced-based medicine.
