Central Valley Indian Health, Inc.
(CVIH) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Facilities/ Purchasing Coordinator at our Clovis Clinic.
This position is responsible for working with vendors and staff to aid in managing facilities, maintenance, building renovation and construction projects for the CVIH clinic system.
Will assist the Purchasing Clerk with preparing requisitions and ordering, as needed.
Qualified candidates must have high attention to detail, with good communication and organizational skills.
The incumbent holds a “Safety Sensitive” position and responsible for HIPAA Compliance.
*PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES* * Stock and maintain an inventory supply room.
* Arrange for all storage or disposal of excess equipment; complete equipment change form as needed.
* Update reports on purchasing, equipment and vehicle on a monthly basis and forward to Chief Financial Officer to be made available to Accounts Payables Clerk.
* Follow the Purchasing/Receiving Guidelines of Fiscal Policies & Procedures Manual.
* Coordination of the CVIH “Auto Club” (road side assistance) program, and vehicle maintenance and repairs and report to GSA when necessary.
* In the absence of the Purchasing Clerk, the incumbent may be required to perform all or some of those duties as needed.
* In the absence of the Security Guard, the incumbent may be required to perform all or some of those duties as needed.
* Work with the Purchasing Clerk & Administration regarding building maintenance, construction and renovation projects, as needed.
* Work with departments to ensure Patient Safety, including but not limited to, maintaining MSDS logs/information, recall of equipment or medications, etc.
* Communicate in a friendly and professional manner to others.
Provide excellent service/support to all patients, employees, and outside contacts.
* Coordinate safety at all sites, including but not limited to looking for & coordinating repairs of safety hazards, making sure all sites adhere to fire codes, making sure sites have updated emergency kits, etc.
* Prepare requisitions as needed.
* Any other duties assigned to the employee by his or her direct supervisor or CVIH Administration.
Requirements * Associates Degree in Facility Management, Business Management, Project Management or Administrative services.
Two years’ experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent education may be considered in lieu of a degree.
* One year experience in purchasing preferred.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Ability to carry, lift, and push or pull objects weighing 50 lbs.
* Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time, and kneel, squat, reach, & bend.
* A valid California Driver’s License and clean driving record with the ability to be insured under CVIH’s automobile insurance.
* An awareness and keen appreciation of Indian traditions, customs, and socioeconomic needs; an ability at times to meet and deal effectively with Indian Health Organizations consisting of numerous tribes with varied cultures.
Tact, courtesy, discretion, resourcefulness, and good judgement in handling functions of a sensitive nature.
* “Safety Sensitive” positions are subject to random drug and alcohol screenings and is a condition for continued employment.
