____________________________________________________ THE POSITION Under direction, to review and analyze work processes to design and implement specific applications/software systems for the Madera County Superior Court; monitor and maintain the Court’s case management system (eCourt); provide technical support for and troubleshoot information systems, the case management system and other court-wide applications; design, model and administer databases or other ; implement security protocols, identify vulnerabilities and neutralize security threats, either independently or through the assistance of vendors, and performs related duties as required.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED Exercises no supervision.
IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Researches, analyzes, and recommends information technology solutions for the court to comply with regulations; prepares user, operations, and system documentation, coordinates, and manages implementation.
Authorizes access, assigns permissions, and ensures system compliance.
Assesses, tests, implements, and enforces security policies.
Assists with coordinating change management and service-level processes and assessing potential impacts to minimize risk to existing IT infrastructure.
Communicates with divisions to understand their IT needs to design efficient systems to meet operational needs.
Manages assigned requests and incidents using the Court’s eCourt work order system and tracks tickets to resolve problems.
Handles after-hours and weekend emergency support as required.
Recommends and implements improvements to ensure court divisions and Court IT systems are secure and efficient.
Assists with software, operating systems, and antivirus updates.
Works with court divisions and vendors to provide information technology system support, including diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving application and software problems.
Performs related administrative tasks; prepares budget information for potential upgrades and new program/network purchases.
Creates prints and delivers reports.
Maintains program inventory information.
Organizes, modifies, implements, and maintains systems software required to support network and the associated infrastructure.
Maintain confidential information in accordance with legal standards and/or court regulations.
May perform network duties as required.
May assist with the installation of desktops, laptops and mobile devices as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Two (2) years experience in the development and implementation of business processes that included installing and integrating computer applications, software and/or hardware.
Education: Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in information systems, computer science, engineering, math, business administration or related field.
Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Essential duties require the following physical skills and work environment: Ability to work in a standard office environment.
Ability to travel to different sites and locations.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE: Possession of a valid California driver’s license.
BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIREMENTS The final candidate will be required to submit to Live Scan Fingerprinting as a condition of employment should an offer be made.
In addition, the final candidate will be required to submit verification of identity, citizenship, or legal right to work in the United States.
EXAMINATION PROCESS A qualifications appraisal for the purpose of appraising the candidate’s education, experience, and personal qualifications will be scheduled for those candidates who meet the minimum qualifications, and may be administered either by a written examination, oral interview, evaluation of education and experience, or any combination of qualifications appraisal determined by the Superior Court Human Resources Division to be appropriate.
The Human Resources Division may limit the number of qualified applicants eligible to participate in the examination process.
The Superior Court Human Resources Division will make reasonable accommodations in the examination process for disabled applicants.

For those individuals with current or prior CalPERS membership status or “classic member” will be eligible for an enhanced 2.
