*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:*
1.
Provide for efficient operations by ensuring all electrical maintenance is completed as necessary per assigned Work Orders.
This includes addressing equipment breakdowns timely in an effort to minimize downtime within plant operations.
2.
Participate in and provide for timely equipment and machinery checks as part of the preventive maintenance program.
This includes lubrication and maintenance of gears, sprockets, conveyor belts and motors to ensure all lines are maintained within accordance of company policies.
3.
Provide for timely review of all mechanical specifications and operational manuals to make certain they are up-to-date and applicable to company machinery.
4.
Works with outside regulatory agency inspectors and management as needed and at the direction of the Operations team.
Responsible for correcting any aspects of equipment and facilities that are cited by inspection, including providing appropriate documentation regarding corrective actions.
5.
Recommend improvements in equipment operating procedures and equipment design as appropriate to improve production rates, reduce waste, reduce maintenance and simplify the work of others.
6.
Review and/ or complete daily maintenance paperwork and required forms timely and accurately.
7.
Provide for consistent and effective communication with Production Management throughout the shift regarding any needs or concerns that would impact production requirements.
8.
Follow all company policies and procedures including Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Guidelines within the maintenance department.
9.
Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
10.
Demonstrate a personal commitment to the Company values; promote an environment that appreciates diversity and treats all people with respect, prohibiting discrimination and harassment of any kind.
11.
Ensure a safe, healthy work environment by following all safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and regulations per the Company’s IIPP, LOTO, job safe practices, GMP’s, and other related programs.

What is needed for the job, not what the employee holds
1) High School diploma or equivalent experience and minimum of 18 years of age.
2) Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
3) A minimum of 2-3 years in production maintenance related role.
4) Must hold Maintenance Certification or relevant trade school coursework.
5) PLC/VFD, electrical, and welding experience a plus
6) Must be able to pass LOTO and Forklift Certification.
7) Have basic Math skills to fill out weights and percentages.
8) Must be able to perform/participate in routine tailgate trainings with maintenance team.
9) Must be able to attend regular maintenance meetings and Training Sessions.
10) Must have an excellent attendance and safety record.
11) Follow detailed instructions and fill out maintenance reports.
12) Must have a demonstrated commitment to safety working with hand tools and in and around machinery.
13) Problem Solving: identifies and resolves problems timely; gathers and analyzes information effectively; develops alternative solutions; uses reason when dealing with emotional topics.
14) Communication Skills: speaks and writes clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations; responds well to questions, presents effectively in group meetings or settings, ability to read and interpret written information.

*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:*
Requirements includes the ability to talk and hear, frequently required to walk, stand, and bend; uses hands to finger; handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50- 75 pounds, with mechanical or assistance.
Vision abilities require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust or focus.
*WORK ENVIRONMENT:*
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, and extreme heat, the noise level in the work environment is usually loud and hearing protection is required.
