*Summary*
Receives and prepares donated merchandise to be priced and placed on the sales floor.
*Essential Functions* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

* Represents and supports the AMVETS brand at all times; maintains a professional appearance and adheres to dress code policy.
* Assists drivers with unloading merchandise and sorting into carts by department.
* Moves carts and bins of merchandise to the appropriate station.
* Performs, sorting, processing, and stocking merchandise as needed.
* Moves, cleans, processes, and stocks furniture.
* Prepares merchandise to be priced by hanging, weighing and testing electrical items, and cleaning.
* Runs items to the sales floor as needed.
* Recovers processing area to include keeping floor clear of obstructions, maintaining and orderly working station, processing recyclables and trash, and returning all tools, equipment, and supplies at the end of shift.

Customer Service Supervisory Responsibilities None *Work Environment* This job operates in a retail/warehouse environment with the receiving and processing of merchandise, trash, and recyclable material.
*Physical Demands* The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
*Position Type/Expected Hours of Work* This is a variable-hour position.
Days and hours of work will vary Sunday through Saturday, 6:00am to 8:00pm *Required Education and Experience* 1.
High school diploma or high school equivalency certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
