SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises assigned staff, interns, and volunteers.
SUMMARY Under general supervision of the Facilities Director, the Facilities Manager is responsible for leading and completing all projects by a set deadline to uphold business initiatives, including allocating budgets for different project aspects and advocating for additional funding when necessary.
Identifies staff to complete projects or contracts vendors as needed.
Assist in the fulfillment of the Agency’s vision, “A strong Fresno County where people have resources to shape their future free from poverty.
” DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for supervising assigned staff, interns and volunteers; recruitment, performance management and other personnel processes, over the course of all projects.
The Facilities Manager regularly communicates with staff and clients, develops project scope of work, makes decisions, detailed schedules and monitors the progress of all assigned projects to ensure successful completion.
Creates long-term and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines to comply with Federal, State, community, and city laws and regulations.
Delegates project tasks to employees best positioned for completion.
Makes effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with all projects.
Serves as a point of contact for projects and teams when multiple specialties are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions are coordinated and planned for efficiency.
Communicates with the Facilities Director, Chief Information Officer, Executive Staff, Leadership Team and others as assigned to keep projects aligned with agency goals.
Performs quality control on all projects throughout development to maintain standards expected.
Adjusts schedules and targets on all projects as needed, including financing and or project change.
Collaborates with all service areas staff to ensure all program goals are met.
Assists in preparing Request for Proposals (RFPs) for funding, refunding and renovation projects, including completion of the facilities checklist.
Assists in scheduling and supervision of maintenance and repair activities.
Plans, organizes, controls, and directs a variety of programs, projects and activities related to facilities maintenance and operational functions to provide a safe and healthy environment for clients and staff.
May be required to attend and present updates at Agency meetings.
Stays informed about the latest California state and County codes, laws and regulations.
Travels for agency business and job sites using reliable transportation.
Works evenings and weekends as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS To execute this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Facilities Management or related field required.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of four (4) years of related experience in Facilities or Operations Management required.
Minimum of two (2) years of direct staff supervision required.

Minimum of Two (2) years of budget development and knowledge of fiscal procedures preferred.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related business software.
Leadership skills, interpersonal skills, decisiveness, problem-solving skills, the ability to delegate effectively, and time management skills are essential professional requirements.
Reads and understands construction & mechanical drawings preferred.
Effective presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
Willing to work non-traditional hours and days to meet the needs of this position.
Maintain a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, adequate auto insurance as required by State law, and insurability by agency carrier for those driving agency vehicles.
