I am looking for a compassionate and reliable individual to provide companionship and light assistance to my husband and myself.
He is a very sedentary 91 year old with mild dementia.
He weighs 210 pounds.
I am an active 81 year old and weigh 86 pounds.
We are retired professors who live with our 2 cats in a beautiful home in the Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains.
The ideal person would live in our home near Bishop / Mammoth, CA.
Assistance would include:
- Help him get up out of bed and chairs
- Take him for short walks
- Help him if he goes to the bathroom at night
- Help him with meals
- Clean up accidents
- Help me with dishes, trash, and driving
- Be a companion to us both, providing conversation and support
Outside caregivers come several times a week to help him with showering and laundry.

Competitive pay.
Base pay is $12 per hour.
The base rate depends on your level of skill in caregiving, and how many hours each week you provide (this will vary from week to week).
Access to skiing, snowboarding, hiking, backpacking, climbing, fishing, and many other outdoor activities.
It's an ideal setting for working on a book or research project.
