*Job Description:*
* Plan and conduct Ropes Course Training and in-service training with counselors.
* Assist with Western Camps Inc.

* Complete daily/weekly inspections of all ropes course equipment, including climbing wall, ropes, harnesses, helmets, etc.
* Record ropes usage hours daily.
* Provide written and verbal feedback to counselors on ropes course instruction.
* Communicate any counselor or camper behavioral issues to the appropriate manager.
* *Report any equipment or facility malfunctions to the Activity Director/Supervising Director immediately.

* Participate in camper recognition through camper awards
* Complete American Camp Association standards skills sheet for all staff trained in course assisting
* Oversee opening day team building with cabins
* Maintain all ropes course equipment.
* Oversee all ropes course activity counselors.
* Coordinate with Program Directors to schedule ropes course staff.
* Ensure safety of the ropes course.
* Enforce appropriate dress attire and rules.
* *Assist with camp activity sign-ups*
* *Participate as a buddy to assigned cabins*
* Assist with patrol as needed.
* Responsible for post camp ropes course equipment inventory
* Assist with camper conflict/resolution
* Assist in other activities around camp during evenings where needed as an extra support to the leadership team or staff
* Other duties as assigned
*Qualifications:*
* Must live at camp for the summer season
* Level II Facilitator preferred, Level I permitted or at least 2 years experience with Ropes Courses, Climbing, Knot Tying, Belaying, Team Building
* Okay with working in the heat
* Must like children
*Perks:*

* Over 55 hours of intensive leadership training
* Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid Training provided but only CPR is required
