*INSTRUCTOR* ● Schedule: Part-time, M-F afternoons from 2:00-6:00 PM.
\*\*Start date is *IMMEDIATELY*.
This is an *IN PERSON *position.
" *Qualifications:* ● Experience: One year of working in a school or community youth organizations.
● Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
● Completion of forty-eight units from a nationally accredited college or university, or A.
A.
degree or higher; or the passage of a local assessment test or enrolled currently in a college/university program.
● Knowledge and/or experience in STEAM teaching ● Passionate about teaching (Coaching/teaching experience encouraged) ● Ability to work with elementary-aged kids (Grades K-8) ● Efficient class management skills ● Reliable transportation ● Valid driver’s license or State ID ● Required to clear a background check and fingerprint scan ● *Available between 2:00 - 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday* ● Must be fully vaccinated with COVID 19 vaccinations *Responsibilities:* ● Understand and enforce FUSD behavioral standards and rules ● Clearly communicating academic & behavioral expectations to students and parents.
● Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons and activities ● Teach according to the educational needs, abilities, and achievements of students ● Use engaging teaching strategies ● Assess, record, and report on student progress ● Provide guidance and advice to students ● Supervise and utilize tutor efficiently ● Communicate, consult, and cooperate with other staff ● Maintain daily student and staff attendance ● Maintain good order and discipline ● Safeguard health and safety of students at all times ● Participate in program staff meetings ● Provide appropriate and approved disciplinary action ● Ensure the classroom is left clean and material are picked up ● Ensure safe practice and procedures are followed ● Assist with placement of staff and students ● Ensure staff and students will wear masks while working indoor at all school locations ● Care, safekeeping, and upkeep of assigned National Inventors Hall Fame Kits ● Be responsive to communications from management ● Manages each class session, ensuring the children are safe, engaged, and having fun ● Completes all training programs as required by the Area Manager ● Understands the curriculum and concepts thoroughly to be able to provide value to participants with diverse abilities and interests ● Fulfill the position of tutors in lieu of their absence ● Facilitating in-person workshops and after-school enrichment programs for children from preschool through elementary school ● Deliver high-energy, part entertainment, part education, hands-on programs.
