At Betts Truck Parts & Service, our Counter Sales Associates are dedicated to driving sales by delivering unparalleled customer service, consistently exceeding customer expectations, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience! As a Counter Sales Associate, you will engage with customers both in person and over the phone, offering expert assistance with parts and repair inquiries.
Our Fresno branch operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5 pm, and half-day Saturdays' to better serve our valued customers.
Betts is a family-owned company in business for over 150 years.
We specialize in parts and service work for suspensions, brakes, wheel ends, and more on a variety of vehicles.
We currently operate 8 locations on the West Coast, our truck repair services include laser alignments, steering and drivetrain repairs, Bendix retrofit anti-collision safety system installation, DOT and BIT inspections, leaf spring repair and replacement, truck suspension repair, truck axle and trailer axle repair, brake repair service, hydraulic hoses, custom u-bolts, and more!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure a positive representation of Betts to customers, vendors, associates, and contacts in a respectful and professional manner.
Address customer inquiries in person or via phone regarding parts availability and pricing.
Identify required vehicle or trailer parts at the counter or undercarriage.
Retrieve parts from stock to fulfill customer orders.
Provide price quotes, credit-terms, and prepare invoices for orders secured.
Estimate delivery dates based on production, delivery schedules, and available stock.
Suggest additional items to increase sales volume and address customer objections effectively.
Assist customers with credit applications as needed.
Monitor stock levels and facilitate product ordering when necessary.
Cultivate and nurture customer relationships.
Input new customer data and sales information into the computer database.
Collaborate with outside sales representatives to maintain account activities and literature.
Investigate and resolve customer delivery issues promptly.
Source and order parts to meet customer requirements.
Actively engage in branch operations, fostering teamwork, and ensuring a safe work environment.
Requirements:
Extensive familiarity with truck parts is strongly preferred, particularly within the heavy-duty industry.
Proficiency in computer skills, particularly experience with Microsoft applications and Karmak software, is highly desirable.
Exceptional communication and decision-making abilities.
Flexibility to work varied schedules, including occasional Saturdays
Outstanding customer service skills.
Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
